Online Music in the Fall at Leverett Elementary

School has been in session for a bit and there has been lots of music making in our new online format. I’m excited to say that being in the students classrooms live has been a joy and a challenge as we all learn to navigate Google Classroom, SeeSaw and other sites! Although we are online, we are still able to sing, play, dance and create music in many different ways and since we are online, we can sing in person without being unsafe during these COVID times.

I have been singing/reading this book with all the students entitled

which can be found at this link here:

I’ve been talking with students about how the classroom will be different this year due to COVID and also having them take notice student diversity in this book.

We have also been listening to Hispanic Music for Kids to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month and discussing various instruments and languages that might be incorporated in our listening lessons.
