Music Distance Learning Week of 4/23

Anyone, Any Age can make music!

Welcome back Leverett Music Makers of all ages, it’s wonderful to be with you again! I am sad that we will not be heading back to our Leverett classrooms this year – I miss all of you! However, I am grateful that we still get to communicate through blogs and so the music making can always continue.

Here is a composition from our friend Gilead (which is shortened a bit due to technological requirements) from last week’s listening and composition assignment. Great job Gilead!

For my PreK and K Friends,

Try this Music Bingo Card – Cross off each box that you are able to complete this week and see if you can create a Bingo! See how many you can do and feel free to email pictures of your creations to renauld@leverettschool.org. (Parents the idea behind this card is to let your child have a self directed learning experience this week to explore different creative options – so I’m not including a time expectation. Just enjoy and have fun!)

Grade 3-6

This week I invite you to watch the video in the links “Old Town Road song version of the Treble and Bass Clefs.” Please run through this video two times. Try singing along with it on the second watching to help you remember note names.

Then, go to the Classical Kids Note Naming link in the 3-6 links. Practice naming notes in the treble clef. If you have time and you want another challenge, try making up your own story using the treble clef words and letters!

Students – Please let me know if you have difficulty with any links or technology, or if there is more of something you’d like to try during this week. You can contact me at renauld@leverettschool.org – have fun!
(Parents – I would expect watching the video twice would take about 6 minutes, followed by 15-20 minutes of exploring note names on the Classical kids website – please remember that these are gentle recommendations – any exploration is great!
